The “Soapbox” is a photobooth with video capabilities. They are available for rent as one of the most unique entertainment options for weddings, parties and corporate events. You can read more here.
There is no other photobooth like this not only in Wilmington, but all over the Carolinas. By adding more space inside the booths (without sticking out like a sore thumb at your event), more people can have fun inside with props in hand. What makes it truly unique is the ability to ask silly questions of your guests (about you) on video. We get to walk away with fun pictures of your guests AND get a hilarious video of them to enjoy long after the night fades.
Yep. Dozens and dozens of crazy, random props are included with the rental of the booth. However, there is a refundable $100 deposit due before the event. The props are so good most people want to walk home with them.
Yes. You are able to just book one or the other, but there is a discounted package price for renting both options for your event.
We provide professional hosts who will create an unforgettable experience for you and your guests from start to finish. Our hosts are also technically trained to operate, and ensure that you get the best use of, your photo booth.
When you inquire, we send you a “sample” list of a few questions we have come up with. Once you book, we send you our entire collection of funny and revealing questions your guests can answer. You get to pick 3 that we will cycle throughout your evening. Too keep people from rambling, the question is shown on the screen with a countdown of 30 seconds to answer.
We have some professional microphones on the booth that are directed right at the folks standing in the booth. With your input we always place the booth away from the biggest noise while still being accessible. You might hear background noise, but it won’t overshadow the quality of your guests responses on video.
We edit down all the responses from your guests to an entertaining video that lasts no longer than 10-15 minutes, so it’s easy to share and enjoy.
The standard 4 hour time limit is perfect for most weddings and events. However, we can certainly customize the package to fit the longer length of your event.
You are provided with ALL the photos from the night of your event the following week on a USB jump drive, or on DVD-ROM if you included the video option in your “Soapbox” booth package.
Our booth comes with a tent, so that your guests can be as silly as they want without having to worry about others watching. The tent and booth combined only takes up a 5X5 footprint. We do however, recommend providing a 6 foot table that goes with the rest of your decor so that we have a place for your guests to sift through all the fun props.
Discounts are available upon request depending on the time of year or day of the week. We also give package discounts when you book the booth with either Active DJ Entertainment or Life Stage Films.
Yes, after the guests exit the booth they only have to wait a few moments for their photo strip to print!
You and your guests can take unlimited photos for the duration of your rental.
For the guests to walk in, record video, and take a series of 4 photos, the process takes about 3-4 minutes. For larger weddings or events of 200-300+ people, it won’t be possible for all the guests to have a turn. We also can’t make them walk into it. But we will make sure the band or DJ announces it’s presence periodically throughout the night.
We encourage you to allow us to close off access to the booth during important moments of the night such as toasts, first dances or special performances. This also gives us time to do any needed maintenance on the printer or the camera if needed.
Yes, children are allowed but we encourage only allowing children in that are old enough to read and follow the on-screen instructions as to not hold up the line and increase the wait time for the rest of your guests. Also be aware of the camera placement. It sits about 4 feet off the ground, so shorter children might not be visible without a parent or guardian holding them up.
